Continue the winter tradition by participating in BVA’s 2nd
Annual Brandywine Polar Plunge, February 7, 2009. Experience the
Brandywine Creek in a whole new way. Whether you go knee deep or
take the full plunge you are welcome to make a splash!
Participants collect at least $30.00 in donations from friends,
family and co-workers, in exchange for jumping into the icy
water in the middle of winter. Team participation is
encouraged. BVA is currently seeking event sponsors. Various
sponsorship levels make it possible for any business to
participate in the Polar Plunge.
The first Polar Plunge helped kick off our Make a Splash
Campaign to protect and conserve the natural resources of the
Brandywine Valley benefiting more than 300,000 residents of the
330 square mile watershed. Over 100 people took the plunge last
year and together with BVA, raised over $8,000. Your leader in
local watershed conservation & education, BVA has pioneered
innovative programs to improve and protect the water in the
Brandywine Valley since 1945.
